Denim Première Vision seemed to shrug off the real and the economic chill as it returned to London this week with a busy show, an enlarged exhibitor list and a sustainability focus both for production and style trends.
Part of Kingpins’ plan to bring an ethical focus its tradeshows worldwide, all panels of the upcoming New York show will focus on social and environmental issues related to the future of the denim industry.
The denim trade show will be held in the Dutch capital on October 23-24, a chance for the sector to tackle the issue of sustainable fashion, as denim production in particular is condemned for its environmental impact.
The first edition of Kingpins Transformers: Ed, the new one-day conference for university students highlighting sustainability in the denim supply chain, kicks off at London’s Ravensbourne University on October 18.
The festival dedicated to denim is set to kick off on Saturday, boasting over 75 exhibitors, as well as panels, shows, exhibits and shopping opportunities, all linked to the event’s theme: “Denim From The Ground Up”.
