Superdry plans India expansion

British fashion and lifestyle brand Superdry plans to broaden its presence in India by opening more outlets across the country.

Superdry has set its footprint in eastern India by opening a retail outlet in Guwahati, and is also wanting to have outlets in Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The brand has already tied up with Reliance Brands Limited which is a part of Reliance Industries and currently has 21 retail outlets across the country.

Business Head of Reliance Brands Limited, Manu Sharma who was in Guwahati on Saturday said: "We are expanding in India. From 21 outlets we want to grow to 28 to 29 outlets by this fiscal year."

"We have opened a retail outlet in Guwahati and this is our first footprint in Eastern India. We are keen on opening outlets in Kolkata and Ahmedabad," he added.
