Pitti Uomo looks to flower power for 92nd edition
Pitti Uomo has chosen a flower theme for its upcoming edition of the menswear tradeshow, with the slogan "Boom, Pitti Bloom."
"Vital energy, the surprising beauty of the flowers and their colours" has inspired organisers of Pitti Uomo, who chose the theme of the flower for its 92nd edition. The flower is a uniform theme for all Pitti Imagine tradeshows dedicated to spring/summer 2018.
"New creative ideas that blossom just like flowers: improbable, effervescent and ironic. Sometimes in the form of macro inflatable flowerbeds, odd sculptures or flying bouquets. A fantastic world of original patterns blended with colour contrasts on façades, in areas and on objects," explained Pitti, via a statement online.
Organisers of the Florence-based tradeshow promise attendees a colourful layout, with design was entrusted to fashion Neapolitan fashion designer Sergio Colantuoni.
The colour and vitality is further confirmed with the release of a film, one that is energetic and fun, to promote the next Pitti Uomo season. In the video, directed by Valentina Be and produced by Art + Vibes, a young man goes on a night time visit to a Florentine palace haunted by psychedelic floral visions, which move to the rhythm of a catchy dance.
Pitti Uomo 92 for spring/summer 2018 runs from June 13 to 16 in Florence.
