Hong Kong Fashion Week fair welcomes over 13,000 visitors

The 23rd edition of Hong Kong Fashion Week saw visitor numbers go up with 13,000 buyers from 68 countries and regions.

Hong Kong Fashion Week took place between 4- 7 July - HKTDC

The four-day trade fair event was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre between 4- 7 July. It featured more than 1,200 exhibitors from 81 countries, who attended the show to explore new business opportunities.

Highlights of the event included a Fash Tech zone and a seminar on Fashion Sustainability, co-organized by the HKTDC and The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA).

“This year’s fair focused on exploring relevant technologies and assessment tools to help raise the industry’s efficiency,” said HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Benjamin Chau. “We believe that the industry is increasingly aware of the importance of sustainable fashion, because it can help the industry achieve healthy growth.”

Visitors could also take part in the show’s extensive offering of events, including fashion shows, forums, seminars and networking sessions.

Hong Kong Fashion Week, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, announced plans to launch a new fair this September. Titled Centre Stage, the fair will host fashion designers and companies with original brands as an international marketing showcase.
