European Outdoor Group names new president

David Uberg has been at the head of the European Outdoor Group (EOG) since 2010. The former CEO at Lowe Alpine has come to the end of his tenure at the association which aims to group Europe's most prominent outdoor brands.

The EOG has named Rolf Schmid as successor. Schmid, CEO of Swiss company Mammut Sport, was elected as president at the most recent annual meeting of the group, which took place in parallel is Ispo in Munich.
The executive board at the EOG now consists of Bernd Kullmann from Deuter, Eddy Codega of CAMP, Jean-Marc Pambet from Salomon, Martin Axelhed of Fjällräven, Rolf Schmid from Mammut Sports Group and John Jansen from Keen. Richard Leedham from Berghaus has also joined the board.
