Lalonde was recently president of Moët & Chandon. Previously he was head of the North American division of Louis Vuitton. It was in fact in 2002 that he had joined the luxury group headed by Bernard Arnault. He was passed on earlier by the Nestlé Group. He had also served as the CEO of Nespresso.
Based in New York, Daniel Lalonde will report to Roger Farah, president of the Ralph Lauren Corporation. "International growth is a strategic goal for Ralph Lauren. After achieving success in Europe, we aim for expansion in Asia," said the president of Ralph Lauren.
