Too Faced teases brand new skincare line

Cult cosmetics brand Too Faced is officially entering the skincare arena.

The cruelty-free makeup label is preparing to launch a brand new ‘Hangover Good To Go' moisturizer, formulated with SPF 25 and featuring hydrating coconut water, as well as prebiotic and probiotic ingredients. The product appears to be based on the brand's existing ‘Hangover' line, which comprises a face primer and a 3-in-one setting spray.

"Get ready world!" The makeup brand's co-founder and CEO Jerrod Blandino proclaimed, announcing the news on his Instagram account. "Too Faced skincare is coming to cure your complexion hangovers! Formulated to make your makeup better!"

The news has been a long time coming for Too Faced fans -- Blandino first dropped hints about his skincare plans back in July of last year, when he told HelloGiggles: "I'm actually tip-toeing in skin care based on our Hangover line. So taking everything you love about our Hangover primer, and taking all of its skin care-based ingredients, and jumping off and creating some skin care products."

Too Faced first branched out of makeup production in December 2017 with the launch of its cult "Glow Job" face mask, but the latest development is the strongest sign yet that the brand is doubling down on skincare -- and it isn't alone. Last year saw the vegan company Tarte re-launch its sister brand, "Awake," that focuses solely on skincare, while nail polish brand Nails Inc. has been building up a face and body mask collection since late 2016. Meanwhile, makeup entrepreneurs Huda Kattan and Jennifer Lopez are both reportedly working on skincare launches for the near future.
