The RealReal to enhance consignor concierge service, loyalty program in 2023
Online luxury resale platform The RealReal announced on Thursday plans to double-down in 2023 on its efforts to enhance the luxury consignment experience it offers to its millions of members.
To get there, the New York-based company said it is focusing on a new consignor concierge service, an enhanced loyalty program, as well as an improved data insights center offering in the coming year.
In particular, every consignor will now have a dedicated Consignment Concierge who they can reach via text, email or phone. The Consignment Concierge is made up of four luxury managers who will remain the consignors’ point-of-contact for as long as the member consigns with TRR.
Likewise, the company is set to launch a new loyalty program with enhanced incentives across each tier and a clearer understanding of earnings. Lastly, The Real Real will also offer more pricing transparency and has piloted its data insights center for consignors to receive a better understanding of how they determine pricing for their items.
“Since our founding, we’ve been committed to, and have invested heavily in, making the luxury consignment experience seamless and frictionless,” said Rati Sahi Levesque, co-CEO and president of The RealReal.
“We became the first and only full-service luxury resale marketplace that does all the heavy lifting for our sellers and shoppers, we have always helped our consignors earn more than any other secondhand marketplace. These new areas of investment will help us deliver an elevated, luxury resale experience.”
The RealReal currently has more than 30 million members. It also operates 19 retail locations, including 16 shoppable stores, where customers can sell, meet with experts and receive free valuations.
