The Hundreds x Chinatown Market release classic streetwear capsule

Published
Dec 7, 2018

Streetwear brands The Hundreds and Chinatown Market have channeled their shared heritage to release a new collaborative collection of apparel and more.

The collection remixes the two brands' classic symbols, particularly The Hundreds' "Adam Bomb" and Chinatown Market's smiley face, across a range of t-shirts and hoodies. Other products include a yellow smiley face blanket, a pillow featuring a smiley face-Adam Bomb, and stickers fit for a skateboard deck.

In a press release, Chinatown said the collection is infused with their brand's "DIY/bootleg signature aesthetic," and comes as a result of the two labels sharing a similar spirit that runs through both heritage brand The Hundreds and streetwear new blood Chinatown Market.

“Our The Hundreds x Chinatown Market collaboration is a celebration of where our industry stands in 2018," the Chinatown Market team said. "[We] grew up wearing The Hundreds, as it was one of the first brands to introduce us all to streetwear. Even though The Hundreds is a legacy brand with a deep history, they also continue to show love and support to the new generation of streetwear pioneers, investing their time and energy into new ideas and providing mentorship."

The new capsule's lookbook gives a stylized behind-the-scenes snapshot of the Chinatown Market team, "a throwback to Bobby Hundreds' own OG blog coverage of The Hundreds' office antics on thehundreds.com in the mid- to late-2000s," the brand said. Photography was shot by Robb Klassen, while looks were styled and modeled by the Chinatown Market staff.

The The Hundreds x Chinatown Market collection is available now at The Hundreds Los Angeles and Chinatown Market, as well as at select retailers worldwide and online.
