Shoe brand Kickers re-launches clothing

Published
Nov 15, 2019

Kickers, the Pentland-owned footwear brand with a grunge aesthetic, is bringing back the clothing category for Autumn/Winter 2019.

Kickers

The ‘Kickers Classics’ clothing collection is inspired by the brand’s original range from the 1990s and 2000s, and incorporates many nostalgic elements such as large logo knits, chunky sweats and retro T-shirts.

It also features several small nods to the current footwear range, including red and green detailed tabs.

Kickers said the range is also influenced by the cultural moments and music genres that have marked the brand’s development for the last 49 years.

Independent fashion manufacturer The Ragged Priest is producing the collection under license.

Marc Greene, brand director of Kickers, said: “We couldn’t wait to bring apparel back to the UK market – the bold colour blocks, the iconic Kickers typeface and the chunky silhouettes all remain as relevant now as they were “back then”.

“Working with The Ragged Priest, our new clothing partner, has allowed us to stay closely connected to the consumer.”

The range has launched online and with selected stockists.
