QVC gives boost to Joe Browns as it plans expansion

Published
Dec 9, 2016

E-tailer Joe Browns has reported a 17% rise in turnover and 9% rise in EBITDA for the first quarter of its new financial year and gross retail sales up by 10% to over £110m in the 2016 business year.

Joe Browns is now available on QVC and is outperforming

The 18-year-old Leeds-based company has benefitted from its products being made available on TV shopping channel QVC during this year and managed to beat sales forecasts by over 61% in September and more than 89% last month.

Two of its items generated sales of more than £2,000 a minute, compared to a benchmark level of around £800 a minute, and the company said that the live show format helped a jacquard tunic rake in over £3,000 a minute.

Joe Browns earlier said that adding to its product line-up and expanding international would be its key focus.

The company said that international development and product range extension will be two key elements of future growth. In October it named former Yours Clothing and Next merchandising specialist as product director as part of this aim.
