The 23rd edition of the Playtime Paris show, dedicated to children's and maternity brands and held on 27th-29th January at the Parc Floral exhibition centre in the French capital, attracted 7,654 visitors, on par with the January 2017 edition (7,689 visitors).

"At a time when trade shows are questioning their model, we are happy to see that the challenge we took up with Playtime more than 10 years ago is still fully capable of responding to the market's current needs," said show director Sébastien de Hutten.

The latest edition showcased 540 exhibitors, and was marked by a rise in the number of international visitors. The latter accounted for 57.7% of total visitors, compared to 55.3% a year earlier, and featured representatives of 69 countries, Italy and China notably.

Playtime's organiser Picaflor also took the opportunity to announce the launch of its new online marketplace, Playtime Online.

Playtime New York is scheduled on 11th-13th February, and will be followed by the show's Tokyo edition, on 20th-22nd February.
