Picaflor, the organiser of the children’s business trade shows Playtime Paris, New York, and Tokyo, is currently buzzing with new projects.

The company announced the launch of Playtime’s Kid’s Hub in Las Vegas in October 2018 and the US business event will take place there for the first time in February. The business also announced on December 20 that it will bring its kid’s trade show Playtime to Shanghai.

Playtime will enter the Chinese children's wear market with Playtime Shanghai - DR

“When we launched Playtime in 2007, we were only at the beginning of what has become the children’s fashion industry we see today. Playtime has supported the development of brands that have become staple children’s wear designers as the market has concurrently experienced a boom through a new generation of buyers and specialist media. This trend can also be seen in China and, with Playtime Shanghai, we hope to support international designers on this Chinese adventure,” said Sébastien de Hutten, the director of Playtime trade shows.

The first edition of the Playtime Shanghai trade show will take place form July 23 to 24 this year and will showcase 45 international brands. With the new Shanghai addition, Playtime will now take place in four countries: France, the US, Japan, and China. Last October, Picaflor chose to end its Berlin edition of the trade show as it had not attained the level of success the business had hoped for.
