Paris inspires two new perfumes by Maison Francis Kurkdjian

The perfume house co-founded by the perfumer Francis Kurkdjian is launching Petit Matin and Grand Soir, two new unisex fragrances inspired by Paris. He has bottled the atmosphere from the first glimmers of light at dawn to the spotlights shining out in the evening from the monuments of the City of Light. Available from Maison Francis Kurkdjian-approved retailers from September 1.

The master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian is launching two unisex scents for two different times of the day. The first is dedicated to the fresh feeling in the early morning in Paris, when the city is still quiet with few people around. The second is an invitation to discover the magic, energy and mysteries of Paris in full swing.  

In the words of Francis Kurkdjian: "The fresh feeling of early morning (Petit Matin). The energy of a big night out (Grand Soir). I live in sync with the rhythms of Paris, this enchanting, luminous city. These special moments have inspired two new fragrances which take us on an olfactory journey in the City of Light".

Petit Matin is citrusy, floral and woody. Its opening notes are provided by the Indonesian plant litsea cubeba and Calabrian lemon, followed by a heart of lavandin and hawthorn. The base consists of amber and musky aromas.

Grand Soir is more dramatic and intense. It combines heady aromas of vanilla, benzoin and tonka bean from Brazil with cistus labdanum from Spain.

These two unisex scents will initially be exclusively available in Paris at both Maison Francis Kurkdjian stores and at La Belle Parfumerie within the Printemps store. They will then go on sale at all approved retailers on September 1. Price: €140 for 70 ml.
