As part of an ongoing celebration of its 30th anniversary, California-based Oliver Peoples has teamed up with Parisian eyewear brand Alain Mikli on a new capsule collection, one of the perks of being owned by Italian eyewear giant Luxottica. Alain Mikli is also part of the Luxottica fold.

The summer capsule collection is a collaboration between the Los Angeles-based company and the Parisian brand, and combines classic styles from both designers. To honor its history, Oliver Peoples brought back two of its original styles from 1987: the Gregory Peck and the Remick, this time outfitted in Alain Mikli’s palm tree pattern. The campaign for the new collection features illustrations by Spanish artist Juanjo Villalba Bermudez. The collection became available at Oliver Peoples boutique and online shop at the beginning of June.

This is not the first project Oliver Peoples has done to celebrate its 30th anniversary. The brand also released a photoshoot and short video by legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh. In the shoot, models like Amber Valletta and Levi Dylan model the eyewear in the Mojave Desert.

Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987 and opened its first store in West Hollywood. It remains based in Los Angeles, with dozens of stores in the U.S. along with boutiques in Japan and London.

Alain Mikli was founded in Paris in 1978 and acquired by the Italian eyewear conglomerate Luxottica in 2013, while Oliver Peoples was acquired in 2007. Luxottica’s other brands include Ray-Ban and Oakley; it also has numerous licensing deals with labels like Chanel and Prada.
