Notonthehighstreet.com chief technology officer Hugh Fahy has stepped down a year after joining the business, it emerged on Friday.

He was appointed in February 2016 and joined the curated marketplace on 8 February. He was responsible for driving strategies that would ensure continued innovation and for creating a data science programme.

Prior to his stint at Notonthehighstreet, Fahy served as group CTO at the Net-A-Porter Group.

No reasons were given for his departure, but Notonthehighstreet CEO Simon Belsham said he and the board thanked  Fahy for his invaluable contribution.

“Hugh has built a talented and highly skilled team and has played an important role in helping to deliver our strategy to build the leading platform that connects small creative businesses with millions of customers the world over,” commented Belsham.

London-based Notonthehighstreet.com brings together more than 5,000 British small businesses. Since its launch in 2006, the digital department store has experienced strong growth and raised £21m in funding in August last year.
