After four years at the helm of the London-based label founded by Frenchwoman Nicole Farhi, Niki Scordi last week left the company. Private equity fund Kelso Place Asset Management, owner of the label since last January, has announced that it is turned to François Steiner to temporarily assume the vacant post. It’s not yet known how long he will be in the position.

After being head of European retail at Louis Vuitton from 1997 to 2001, CEO of Kenzo from 2003 to 2006 and Managing Director of Sonia Rykiel for just six months, in 2007 François Steiner became a management and development consultant, offering his services for temporary positions just like the one which has just been entrusted to him.

Nicole Farhi, whose collections are still designed by its founder, gained a new majority stakeholder last January – private equity fund Kelso Place Asset Management, who has promised to inject 15 million pounds (just over 18 million euros) within the next five years.
