New Self-Portrait campaign by Tyrone Lebon stars Gigi Hadid

Self-Portrait continues to sign up modelling’s biggest names to front its seasonal campaigns and its latest campaign star is none other than Gigi Hadid. It’s the second time the brand has linked up with the supermodel.

She’s the face of the SS23 creative and was shot by British photographer Tyrone Lebon in New York, with a series of videos and images that “celebrate the electricity of the brand’s latest collection against the city’s urban and raw backdrop”. 

Lebon is one of the most in-demand photographers for campaigns at present and was also behind the camera for the just-revealed new brand identity campaign from Burberry. He also recently shot the latest Alaïa campaign and the Miu Miu holiday season imagery.

Overseen by Founder and Creative Director Han Chong, the images and video “embrace the confident and independent spirit of the Self-Portrait woman”. 

The campaign was styled by Alex Harrington, and sees Hadid in pieces embellished with rhinestone in an intense seasonal colour palette of green, pink and orange. 

Han Chong said that for “this new season’s campaign, we wanted to give the collection a rawness and sensuality. Together, Tyrone and Gigi brought this attitude to life through a series of videos and images shot on a parking lot in New York, the result is honest, natural, feminine and magical”.
