New House of Peroni mentorship programme to support fashion designers

Published
May 17, 2018

Italian beer brand House of Peroni has created a programme that will offer eight emerging fashion designers free studio space, mentorship and showcase opportunities at London Fashion Week.

House of Peroni

The selected fashion designers will be guided by a creative council made up of a group of experts led by Scottish fashion designer Jonathan Saunders. Isabella Burley, editor-in-chief of Dazed and Confused; Pandora Sykes, fashion writer and stylist; Alexander Fury, editor of Another Magazine; and Anna Orsini, consultant on the British Fashion Council are also part of the council.

The Fashion Studio residency will be open to candidates who are in the early stages of their career and live in the UK or Ireland. A panel of judges will shortlist 40 candidates who demonstrate originality, style and strong craftsmanship skills.

The eight winners, seven from Great Britain and one from the Republic of Ireland, will be given free access to studio space within House of Peroni’s office in Central London, receive one-on-one mentorship from members of the Creative Council and will present their work during London Fashion Week.

There will be also a series of talks and masterclasses by influential guest speakers covering topics from design to business models, publicity and marketing.

Applications close on Sunday 20 May.
