Net-A-Porter launches localised platform in Middle east

Published
Mar 10, 2021

Net-A-Porter has officially launched in the Middle East with a localised platform for the region that comes in both Arabic and English. It’s also available as a website and a mobile app. The company said it's been fully customised to meet local shoppers’ needs.

Net-A-Porter

That means product search in both languages and products curated for local tastes, as well as content tailored to local interests. Prices are also shown in the relevant currency depending on which country the user is in.

The e-tailer has, of course, been available in the region before this, but it’s the first time it has a specifically-tailored site. And the company has future plans to take it further, launching collaborations with local designers and creating more personalised experiences.

Nisreen Shocair, CEO of Yoox Net-a-Porter Middle East, said: “As the leading luxury platform, the launch of the localised Arabic site allows us to celebrate the unique beauty and talent of our community in the Middle East, bringing Net-a-Porter even closer to its customers.”

Rivals such as Farfetch and many big-name brands have increasingly focused on offering a more local experience for their Middle East webstores given the importance of the affluent consumer in the region to ultra-luxury brands and webstores.
