Momad Metropolis draws more than 13,000 visitors

Published
Sep 27, 2016

Spanish fashion and accessories trade show Momad Metropolis attracted 13,642 visitors in its last edition, which took place from September 9-11 at Feria de Madrid.

The next edition of Momad Metropolis will take place from February 3-5 at Feria Madrid - Momad Metropolis

This season the event coincided with Momad Shoes, the international footwear and accessories show which was also held at the venue. The combined showcases attracted an unprecedented 18,500 visitors, representing a 7.5% increase on September 2015 when Footwear was just an area in Momad Metropolis.

Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya were also held at the same time, turning Madrid’s exhibition centre into the greatest global venue for fashion and trends for a few days.

Momad Metropolis attracted professionals from all over Spain, although best-represented regions were Madrid, Andalusia, Valencia, Galicia, Catalonia and the Basque Country. International buyers came from 87 countries, including Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, Germany and Chile.

The fair featured 432 exhibitors, representing over 900 brands across a variety of sectors. Sustainable fashion was also highlighted in the Sustainable Experience showcase, developed in partnership with Ecoalf, Skunfunk, Kayak Storm, Naturalist, Modaes.es and Yo Dona to raise awareness and strengthen the consumption of responsibly sourced, ethically made fashion products.

An exhibition titled “‘Analysis of the Life Cycle of a Product” was also displayed with Slow Fashion Next.

In addition to a wide fashion and accessories offering, the three-day event hosted a comprehensive program of activities, including presentations on trends, e-commerce strategies and the new operational needs of the sector.

The next edition of Momad Metropolis is set to take place from February 3-5 at Feria Madrid, coinciding again with Intergift, MadridJoya and Bisutex.
