Moda Operandi taps former LVMH exec as CEO

Published
Oct 9, 2013

Almost six months after the departure of co-founder and CEO Áslaug Magnúsdóttir, New-York based website Moda Operandi welcomes new boss, Deborah Nicodemus. Previously chief merchandising and marketing officer at Birks & Mayors, a Canadian jewellery group, Nicodemus has also held positions at Donna Karan and distribution company DFS, both of which are owned by LVMH.

JW Anderson is available to pre-order on Moda Operandi

Launched in February 2011, Moda Operandi raised $36 million in its second round of fundraising in spring 2012, with investors including Condé Nast, IMG and LVMH. Sales at the company have risen by 130% on a yearly basis since the site launched and the company has recently expanded on its ‘pre-order’ business model to also include a traditional, seasonal e-commerce.
