Gonzalez, who will assume her new role on July 1, replaces former CFO Pedro Farah, who was promoted to serve as executive vice president and treasurer for U.S. parent Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

She will report directly to Guilherme Loureiro, CEO of Wal-Mart de Mexico. Gonzalez joined the company in 2010 as Internal Audit Leader for Latin America and was later promoted to CFO in Chile in 2011.

She has also served as Vice President of Commercial Finance and Operations at Walmart de Mexico in Central America since 2014.
