LVMH adds Sophie Chassat to its board of directors

A philosopher has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the top luxury group. LVMH announced in a press release that it has called on Sophie Chassat "as a director" within its Board. The appointment will be confirmed at the next ordinary shareholder’s meeting, the group said in a statement.

Chassat will join the independent directors who make up the board, alongside the shareholders and managers who hold positions in the group.
 
A former student of the École Normale Supérieure on Rue d'Ulm in Paris, the 40-year-old philosophy graduate taught for seven years at high school and university level, before taking the leap from teaching to founding her own business, developing an expertise in corporate philosophy and branding. Since 2010, she has been a consultant, accompanying companies and brands.

Author of numerous essays and columns in the press and founder of the consulting agency Intikka, Sophie Chassat has worked for Canal +, Louis Vuitton, Le Bon Marché, Guerlain, Bonpoint, Total and Saint-Gobain.
