Since the start of the year, denim labels Lee and Wrangler have been moving away from VF Corp.’s orbit, a spin-off finally completed in May. The newly created, NYSE-listed Kontoor Brands Inc., which besides Lee and Wrangler also includes Rock & Republic, was worth €2.4 billion in sales in 2018.

Scott Baxter has been put in charge of Kontoor Brands Inc.’s global business. On June 14, the group introduced a new retail concept featuring both Lee and Wrangler in Greensboro, North Carolina, where its headquarters are based: the Lee + Wrangler Hometown Studio.

In the EMEA region too, the denim labels now have a new boss, former VF Corp. director Simon Fisher.

Fisher left the group’s jeans business in 2016, after a seven-year sales career within VF Corp., eventually becoming sales director EMEA.

He was then based for three years in Switzerland, where he ran the European subsidiary of U.S. sportswear brand Spyder Active Sports.

Fisher will now return to Antwerp, Belgium, from where he will manage Lee and Wrangler's regional teams.
