L'Officiel Russia is set to embark on a relaunch after several months of silence following a dispute between its publisher and its former owner.

The fashion magazine is set to relaunch both in print and digital, with the print edition taking a four-monthly form. The first issue will be released on 21 August 2019 and Edward Dorozhkin will act as editor-in-chief of the print and digital editions, the title announced in a statement published on its website on Tuesday.

L'Officiel Russia was closed down last year after Alexander Fedotov, owner of publishing house ACMG Group, lost the right to publish the title after its former owner Vladimir Pomukchinsky won a legal action challenging the acquisition.

ACMG Group acquired the license from Pomukchinsky  in 2014.

Fedotov is now working on restoring the title, the magazine’s former editor-in-chief Ksenia Sobchak suggested in an interview with Russian newspaper Vedomosti this week. His company is understood to owe a significant amount of money to former staff, including Sobchak.
