Kim Jones to unveil next Dior Men show in LA

Kim Jones will unveil his next Dior Men collection in Los Angeles, in the latest stop on the globe by the peripatetic designer for the Paris maison.

 
The British designer will show the Dior Spring 2023 men’s collection on Thursday, May 19 in LA. No news yet on the exact location on the West Coast.
 
Kim’s flight to California will follow stints in such far-flung locations as London, Miami and Tokyo.

Jones, Dior’s artistic director for men's, enjoys such wanderlust he even themed his most recent foreign show in London last December after Jack Kerouac and the American novelist’s iconic opus On The Road.
 
Not that Christian Dior was any slouch when it came to a little globe-trotting. Monsieur Dior even held a Dior show in Blenheim Palace in rural England and travelled to America frequently, appearing on the cover of Time, at the height of the magazine’s fame.
 
“Only a few months after the designer founder’s first show in 1947, the New Look set out to conquer the world, and America was first to succumb, igniting a friendship that has continued to grow ever since. The house’s unbreakable ties with the USA have never stopped growing since, and remain at the heart of the house,” the house noted in a release.
