New York-based label Kate Spade has made its name as a purveyor of ultra-feminine bags and shoes, and now the brand will celebrate femininity in another way. On October 10, Kate Spade will release SHE: muses, visionaries, and madcap heroines.

Published by Abrams, the new book will feature photos and stories about famous women throughout history such as Gloria Allred,  Frida Kahlo, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Josphine Baker. It will also highlight important women from the world of fashion such as Iris Apfel and even fictional characters like Carrie Bradshaw.

The upcoming coffee table book will also include interviews with women such as Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine. Last month, Medine teamed up with Kate Spade to host The Kate Spade New York x Man Repeller Leopard Leopard Leopard Pop-Up shop, which took place across major US cities such as New York and Washington, D.C.

Kate Spade, which was founded by Kate and Andy Spade in 1993, was recently purchased by luxury fashion label Coach in a $2.4 billion deal.
