Karen Millen launches Icons series with Helena Christensen

Published
Apr 6, 2022

Karen Millen is betting heavily on the enduring appeal of Helena Christensen as it launches an edit in a collaboration with the 1990s supermodel.

Described by Christensen as “confident, dynamic and timeless”, the edit included pieces such as a wear-with-anything white oversized blazer, the bodycon Forever Dress, other form-fitting and corset dresses, leather dresses and jackets, and more.

They all represent a kick-off for the brand’s The Icons series to which Christensen also contributed designs. The whole collection has a 90s edge, referencing the era in which the first group of supermodels ruled the catwalks and the front covers of glossy magazines.

The brand — which has been owned by Boohoo Group for the past few years — has shot a campaign to support the launch and is also running a prize draw that includes the opportunity to win a signed Polaroid picture from Christensen herself, as well as a piece from the edit.

Christensen has immersed herself in her photography career since stepping back from full-time modelling, although as the Karen Millen collab makes clear, she also has a thriving modelling schedule running alongside.
