Juun.J deconstructs Canada Goose classics in new collab’

The champion of street tailoring, Juun.J, has created a new collection for Canada Goose, where he radically deconstructs three classics by the North American label.

Though this sort of explorer-couture certainly does not come cheap.  In his second collab’ with Canada Goose, the Korean-born designer plays with three parkas: the Expedition; the Resolute 3-in-1; and the Snow Mantra, priced at retail at €1,495, €1,595 and €1,750 respectively. Though one should consider that the Snow Mantra is regarded by many as the warmest coat on earth.

These new looks by Juun.J mark the latest link-up with an influential designer by Canada Goose and follow collections made by Junya Watanabe; Glenn Martens of Y/Projects; Opening Ceremony and Vetements.

The new Canada Goose x Juun.J collection is a unisex collab’ with dramatic over-sized collars and punchy techy graphics; as the designer extends the color palette of the series to white and navy. Added to the grand proportions Juun includes reflective detailing and the classic silver Canada Goose disk.

Each coat is also given a new twist: like the 3-in-1 layered approach for the Resolute, an interior and exterior hood for the Expedition and a fleece lined neck guard for the Snow Mantra.

Launching on November 11, Canada Goose x Juun.J will be available online at CanadaGoose.com, select Canada Goose and Juun.J stores and in select wholesale partners worldwide including Luisa Via Roma, The Corner Berlin, Browns, L'Éclaireur, Vitkac, CNTRBND, SSENSE and Gr8.
