Joor launches fully shoppable autumn trend report

Published
Mar 15, 2023

International wholesale management platform JOOR has come up with a new women’s trend report for next season. Called On Trend: Women’s Fall 2023, it's fully shoppable for wholesale buyers for the first time.

Linking trends seen at the recent Big Four runway shows, it’s based on an edit of the 14,000+ fashion brands presenting their FW23 collections on the platform.

The first trend is Seeing Red, which it feels is the “colour of the season”. “Gorgeous crimson wowed the crowds and punctuated looks ranging from casual and fun to sultry formalwear,” it said, adding that “accessories also had a moment bathed in red as handbags and footwear were the ultimate finishing pieces to complete fully red looks or add a pop to a neutral outfit”.

Then there’s Sheer Elegance, built around “whisper soft tulle and delicate lace, bringing a playful sheer element to a breadth of collections. Some designers crafted sheer pieces from rich lace while others chose a transparent overlay to classic silhouettes”. That came as maxi dresses draped in gauze or “fun blouses designed for both work and play”.

Modern Minimalism is another key trend, with “simple yet sophisticated silhouettes [that] range from form-fitting to gracefully draped, and evoked feelings of confidence and elegance”. In mostly neutrals, many of these pieces are designed to be season-long wardrobe staples.

The next trend is Monochrome Mania, with head-to-toe colour being the focus, “inspired by a fashion month obsessed with vivid monochromatic looks”. That means both neutrals and brights.

Then there’s Elongated Silhouettes, that are “smooth, form-fitting, and ultimately sexy, long and lean silhouettes are here to stay”. That means “slinky fabrics and longer hemlines as brands married elongated styles with their particular ethos — resulting in a comprehensive collection of stunning, floor sweeping pieces that cling to the body and scream ‘style’.”

Finally, A Touch Of Teddy references the cosy sweater dressing trend, as well as faux fur or any other soft, cosy texture. JOOR said it “brings a lighthearted vibe to outerwear as well as corresponding cold weather accessories”.
