Jonathan Simkhai debuts brand new website

Published
Feb 16, 2017

Jonathan Simkhai, 2015’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner, has launched an all-new website after five months of testing.

Simkhai's new 'digital flagship' - Jonathan Simkhai

Simkhai pushed to have the site launch just in time for his recent show at New York Fashion Week. In the past, Simkhai has found that the brand's social following has jumped by at least 10% in the week following its runway shows.

As the designer told Racked, his website has seen even higher growth, bringing in the highest traffic of the year during that same time frame. In that traffic spurt, Simkhai found that 75% of hits were from new customers to the brand.

Since Simkhai's eponymous brand doesn’t currently operate on the see-now-buy-now model, the e-commerce site will operate more similarily to a trunk show. Customers can browse and shop through the most recent runway show, but items are only available for pre-order.

This new website will be focused on appealing to the customers gained through new digital features, including increased mobile shopping capabilities, video content, and integrated editorial content. In addition to this upgraded e-commerce platform, Simkhai's show was accessible to viewers around the world through live streaming.
