M&S’s premium Jaeger brand has named Suzi Avens as head of product. The ex-Cath Kidston and Boden executive joins as the retail giant continues its relaunch of the Jaeger brand and puts plenty of support behind it both in-store and online.

M&S/Jaeger

Avens has been working as a consultant in recent years after leaving the Cath Kidston brand where she was a product director between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that she was womenswear director at Boden, although she has experience covering the menswear and homewares categories too.

She also has strong digital experience and this is important given that even with the opening of Jaeger concessions in M&S stores, it remains a mainly-digital brand these days.

And with the label also being available in close to 90 markets, its new product director’s international experience (that takes in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific) is also extremely important.

Avens said she sees “so much potential and opportunity to develop Jaeger’s rich brand heritage whilst supported by the incredible wealth of knowledge of M&S to drive customer loyalty and market growth both in the UK as well as internationally”.

And brand MD Fiona Lambert added: “Since relaunching, we have grown a strong team of bespoke experts who are passionate about the Jaeger products. We’re continuing to reposition and reinvigorate Jaeger, operating as an independent business, supported by the ecosystem of M&S.”
