J.Jill kicks off inclusive Christian Siriano collaboration with first capsule drop

American womenswear retailer J.Jill announced the launch of the first in a series of inclusive capsule collections made in collaboration with Christian Siriano on Thursday, slating the next drop for November.

Available now, the September capsule features a series of white shirts, available both in J.Jill stores and on the retailer’s e-commerce site. The rest of the collection, which includes a teal tie-waist puffer jacket, a faux-suede skirt, a shawl-lapelled blazer and a range of dresses with waist-conscious silhouettes and details such as flared sleeves and a nature-inspired print, is available exclusively on J.Jill.com.

“J.Jill is a brand that designs for all women, and that’s been a part of my ethos as a designer since the very beginning,” explained Siriano in a release. “I think fashion is something we all should have a piece of. It’s celebrating people and this idea of beauty. And what’s beautiful? For me, it’s all different types of women – shapes, sizes and ages.”

Siriano’s first capsule for the retailer also features the J.Jill Compassion Fund Tee, from which 100% of the proceeds will go to the J.Jill Compassion Fund, which gives grants and in-kind donations to community-based organizations across the US.

The second capsule resulting from the collaboration is set to drop on November 6, just in time for the holidays. The collection will include winter-inspired pieces designed for special occasions.

All pieces in Siriano’s collections for J.Jill are available in a wide range of sizes, including XS–4XL and 0–28, as well as petite and tall.

Candice Huffine, Maye Musk and Marquita Pring have been selected as the ambassadors for the holiday collection and also appear in marketing for the first capsule drop.

Chosen for their commitment to body and age positivity, the three models will star in a multimedia holiday campaign that will be featured on the J.Jill e-commerce website and social media platforms, as well as in the brand’s stores and holiday catalog.
