International ​Woolmark Prize announces European nominees

The international competition dedicated to young designers has revealed the names of the young talents who will represent Europe in the competition, which focuses on both women's and men's wear.

The European finalists for both categories - Woolmark Prize


The candidates battling it out in the women's ready-to-wear category are Capara (Belgium), Jindra Jansová (Czech Republic), Freya Dalsjø (Denmark), CristaSeya (France), Bobby Kolade (Germany), Piccione Piccione (Italy), Nanna van Blaaderen (Netherlands), Juan Vidal (Spain) and Asu Aksu (Turkey).
 
Meanwhile, for the men's ready-to-wear category there is MariusPetrus (Belgium), Pavel Ivančic (Czech Republic), Armoire d’homme (Denmark), Harmony (France), Ivanman (Germany), Christian Pellizzari (Italy), Jonathan Christopher (Netherlands), Etxeberria (Spain) and Giray Sepin (Turkey).

The European final will take place in Antwerp on 13 July. The European finalists in each category will then be up against their counterparts from the other continents. The men's final will be held in Florence in January 2016, followed by the women's final in February, during New York Fashion Week.
