India’s Gartex reports strong turnout at debut show

Over 75 exhibitors representing more than 150 brands as well as buyers from all over the country converged at the first edition of textile and garment machinery show Gartex, which welcomed over 12,000 visitors between 27 and 29 August.

The three-day event held in Delhi presented garment manufacturing solutions from companies across digital textile printing technology, garment manufacturing machines, embroidery machines, sewing machines, quilting machines, fabrics, and apparel accessories.

Buyers came from specialty hubs like including Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Surat, Mumbai, Ludhiana and Pannipat to witness product demonstrations and fulfill their sourcing goals.

The first edition of Gartex, incorporated Digitex (International Digital Textile Printing Technologies exhibition) as an important section with 30% of all exhibitors displaying digital textile printing technologies.

Exhibitors included Roland DG with Apsom Infotex, Konica Minolta through Apsom, MTEX with Arrow Digital, Appeal Print N Pack Systems, Angel India CAD CAM, Britomatics India, Colorjet India, Daksh Enterprises, DCC Print Vision and Epson India, among many others.

Visitors to the show had the chance to get a close look at direct-to-fabric printers from Mimaki India, MTEX, Colorjet and Konica Minolta, as well as extremely user-friendly and compatible digital printers from Roland DG and Apsom Infotex.

The Show also beheld quite a few printing solution providers including Galaxy Digital Prints, Print 360, Print Image Technology and Shri Sahib Ji Fab Prints.

Embroidery machines were also on display from companies such as Baba Textile Machinery and Aura Technologies, while Stitch Technologies showcased its ‘Tajima’ brand computerized embroidery machine.

Meanwhile quilting specialists Dongguan Chishing Machinery Company, represented by Twin Star Machines, demonstrated their ChiShing quilting machinery.

Further technologies on display were 3D silicon heat transfer printers and super emboss on cotton & polyester applications from Delhi-based manufacturer Label Solutions, Arrow Textiles Limited, YKK India, Dona Doni Fashion, Redwood Narrow Fabric, and Wenzhou Muse International Trade.

The exhibition will return to Pragati Maidan in New Delhi in July 2017.
