French luxury group Hermès has made changes at the senior management level, increasing the number of members sitting on its executive committee from eight to nine. Catherine Fulconis, general manager of the leather goods and saddlery business (including Hermès Horizons and equestrian products) and of the Petit H line, has joined the committee, while Wilfried Guerrand, a committee member since 2014, now has a broader remit. The functions of the other members remain unchanged.

Catherine Fulconis has been the general manager of Hermès' leather goods and saddlery business since 2015. A HEC graduate, she started her career at L’Oréal in 1985, taking on several managerial posts, among others at Lancôme, Parfums Lanvin and Paloma Picasso, Kiehl's, Shu Uemura and Helena Rubinstein. She joined Hermès in 2006 as general manager of Hermès Parfums, and in 2010 she was appointed CEO of the same division.

Wilfried Guerrand has been an executive committee member since 2014, as general manager of the Hermès women’s business. He will now also oversee men's, jewellery, silk, textile and home decoration products, as well as the IT department. Guerrand is a graduate of ESC Rouen and has an EMBA from the London School of Economics, NYU Stern and HEC. He has spent virtually his entire career at the French label, which he joined in 1995 as financial controller.

He was later appointed industrial development director (2002), general manager France (2007) and general manager Europe (2009). In 2012, he become general manager of Hermès Femme, and was also appointed general manager of digital and e-commerce in 2014.

“This double appointment is proof of the attachment Hermès has for these businesses. As the sphere where its collections are developed, they lie at the core of the group's performance,” the company said.
