Halsey has landed a new role with online fashion retailer ModCloth.

The singer is one of four famous faces to star in a new video series for the vintage-inspired fashion site in honor of International Women's Day, titled ‘Against the Current'. The remainder of the cast is made up of the "Crazy Rich Asians" star Awkwafina, "Orange is the New Black" star Dascha Polanco and transgender activist Hari Nef.

"This month, we're unveiling a series of short films celebrating women who live against the current," said ModCloth, introducing the campaign to its Instagram followers. "We've harnessed the power of the elements: earth, fire, air, and water. They serve as metaphors for the obstacles, big and small, overt and subtle, that we encounter in our lives." The video series will explore how the stars have overcome the obstacles represented by the elements, to become their "unapologetic, authentic selves," encouraging shoppers to dress against the current themselves.

ModCloth is no stranger to recruiting famous faces for its campaigns. Previous stars to have stepped in front of the camera for the brand include US rapper Lizzo, country singer Cam and musician Kacy Hill -- all of whom fronted the label's 'Say It Louder' campaign last summer.

The move isn't the first major collaboration for Halsey, either -- the US singer has previously worked with Yves Saint Laurent Beauté to create makeup looks for the brand. Nef, meanwhile, has featured in campaigns for brands ranging from L'Oréal Paris to Gucci.
