The collection includes clothes for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as a complete wardrobe that can be worn during practice and in the Olympic Village. For the first time ever, H&M has also created clothes that athletes will compete in in a number of the summer sports.

"It's a great honour for us to dress the Swedish teams for this summer's Olympic and Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro. In  close collaboration with our Swedish athletes we've created clothes they will wear at the opening ceremony, as well as during award ceremonies, practice and in their spare time. We're thrilled to also have designed clothes that they will compete in for a number of sports. The result is a functional Olympic Games collection with a high performance and fashion-level, made in durable materials like recycled polyester," says H&M Head of Design and Creative Director Pernilla Wohlfahrt.

Swimmer Sarah Sjöström says: "I look forward to wearing H&M's Olympic Games collection in Rio and am extra proud to be representing Sweden wearing Swedish design. As a sports ambassador for H&M, I've helped test the clothes and provide feedback on the sports collection. I enjoy working out in stylish, functional high-quality sportswear."

H&M's Olympic Games collection, which includes the same practice and competition outfits as the athletes will wear in Rio, is launching the day before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. Part of the profits from the collection will go to the Swedish Olympic Committee's talent program.
