Gore-Tex launches Active Shell

For Autumn-Winter 2011/2012, W.L. Gore & Associés launches a new Gore-Tex called Active Shell. This new technology with three layers of material makes clothing waterproof and windproof while providing breathability and comfort even when close to the skin.

Thanks to a thinner and lighter Gore-Tex membrane, the innovation "is perfect for outdoor sporting activities that require clothes that breathe," explains Martin Lankes product manager for Gore & Associés.

The lining is built directly into the membrane in accordance with the new technology. Result; perspiration is released into the outside of the garment while preventing moisture from rain getting inside.

This new technology will be used by brands like Adidas, Patagonia, Scott and Gore Bike Wear for their winter collection 2011/2011.
