Givenchy unveils London flagship store

Published
Dec 7, 2018

Luxury fashion house Givenchy has announced the opening of its inaugural flagship store in the UK at 165 New Bond Street in the upmarket Mayfair area.

Outside, the boutique features original elements of the 18th century property, but inside, a paradise of floor-to-ceiling mirrors, tiles and optical forms provide a backdrop to the label’s Spring Summer 2019 collection.

The brand led by Clare Waight Keller, who designed the white silk wedding dress worn by Meghan Markle earlier this year, said the boutique illustrates “Givenchy’s multi-faceted concept and sophisticated brand vision”.

There is an Essential Room showcasing the women’s ready-to-wear, footwear and eveningwear surrounded by pink interiors, while green walls and a wooden ceiling define the menswear department.

The brand said the concept pays homage to the boxes in which Hubert de Givenchy used to deliver his Haute Couture dresses.

London is now one of the few European cities boasting a standalone Givenchy boutique, joining Paris, Nice, Milan, Rome, Saint Petersburg and Baku.
