Givenchy Kids presents its first collection by Matthew M. Williams
Although Givenchy ventured into children's fashion in 2017 alongside CWF, this Spring/Summer 2022 saw the launch of the first Givenchy Kids collection by Matthew M. Williams, creative director of the LVMH-owned fashion house since June 2020.
Under the American designer’s vision, an urban aesthetic is seen throughout the Givenchy Kids lineup which dresses children up to 12 years old. The girl’s offering includes hoodies and pink and white tie-dyed T-shirts featuring a detailed heart and Givenchy embroidery. Leggings and skirts in cotton jersey with Givenchy’s emblematic logo are also included in this wardrobe as well as black tank dresses and hooded windbreakers with zippered pockets.
On the other hand, fleece sweatshirts with rips and rings in trompe l’oeil effect worn with slim pants with zippered pockets adorn the wardrobe for boys. The quick-drying bright yellow board shorts that are part of the collection are perfect for the upcoming summer weather.
On their feet, the young Givenchy generation wears sneakers and sandals in black or yellow embossed with the brand's logo.
Givenchy Kids also offers onesies for babies as well as a tie-dye, heart-stamped hoodie.
Givenchy has been offering kids wear since 2017, when the house signed a licensing agreement with French high-end children's fashion group Children Worldwide Fashion (CWF). The agreement covers the distribution and production of the children's ready-to-wear line targeting 1 month to 3 year-old babies and 4- to 12-year-old boys and girls.
