As widely flagged in recent weeks, Gap has returned to Oxford Street in London with a dedicated space having opened Monday in the Next flagship.

The partners said the opening “marks the first milestone of the joint venture relationship between the two companies to manage Gap’s e-commerce business as well as Gap-branded shop-in-shops at Next locations”.

The Gap shop is actually the largest brand shop within the Next store at 120 Oxford Street, covering over 4,000 square feet of retail space, and “embodies the brand’s reinvented approach to retail in the UK with an open, modern and minimal design”.

As well as the brand’s regular line-up, there’s also a customisation shop offering embroidery, badging and monogramming for all Gap customers.

Next said the Oxford Street opening is “a major milestone re-establishing Gap’s brick-and-mortar presence, with work under way to migrate Gap’s e-commerce business to Next Total Platform as well as integrate strong operational capabilities including a comprehensive click-and-collect service, next-day delivery, and a variety of customer service options later this year”.
