Gap: Artistic Director Carolyne Rapp leaves

Gap’s teams change fast. Having joined the company in January 2013 as Director of Global Fashion and Creative Concepts, Carolyne Rapp has now left the company. She came to the company surrounded by an aura of success at COS, H&M’s minimalist fashion retailer, where she was Creative Manager.

She was also joined at Gap by another ex-COS employee: Rebekka Bay. Bay, previously Creative Director of COS, worked for Danish brand Bruuns Bazaar from April 2011 to September 2012 before becoming Gap’s Creative Director in 2012.

Maria Chen, Gap’s Vice President of Global Design, will meanwhile remain at her post. Before joining Gap in 2013, she worked as Vice President of Global Design at Calvin Klein Jeans, and before that at Armani Exchange.
