Frank A. Dassler (Adidas Group General Counsel) is appointed as FESI's new president

Published
Nov 18, 2010

The Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI) has just elected Frank A. Dassler as their new president (he is the grandson of Rudolf Dassler, Puma’s founder). At 54, the Adidas Group General Counsel has set himself the goal of turning Fesi into a key player in the sporting goods market during his 3 year presidency.

The Federation represents 1,800 companies and institutions in the sporting goods industry. They are currently fighting against the extension of the anti-dumping measures imposed by the European General Court on the imports of leather footwear made in China and Vietnam that was. The two countries are the biggest suppliers of sporting goods in the world.
