Fringes are back again, as they have been for several summers, adding a boho folk touch to outfits for sunny days. This trend was seen at the Spring-Summer 2016 ready-to-wear shows, and has been given a boost by the summer festival look.

This trend is getting stronger every year, partly due to the large number of summer festivals including fashionista favorite Coachella. This year it wil

Flowy jumpsuits, skirts and long dresses will be big news this season, along with floaty blouses decorated with fringes or pearls. Pieces in light powdery pastels, as seen at Paul & Joe, Giambattista Valli, Tommy Hilfiger, and Valentino in a very refined style, and obviously at Chloé.

In the same spirit, fringes will be the stars of the season, for both ready-to-wear and accessories. They will be seen on dresses, skirts, jackets, and even handbags, as seen at Balenciaga, Masha Ma and Barbara Bui.

This trend has been particularly popular with many mall brands, including Mango which has dedicated one of its summer collections to festivals, and H&M which has created another "H&M loves Coachella" collection, launched in partnership with the Californian festival. The boho chic trend is going to be everywhere this year.
