Having joined the company in June 2019, his remit has expanded in the past three years to take in oversight of the label’s digital-first strategy, its customer experience, and its store openings in the US on the east coast (the company has around 20 US stores in addition to its 180 UK locations).

He had an impressive history before joining Fat Face having been MD of multichannel at Jack Wills for two years and MD of e-commerce at the retailer for just under two years before that.

He previously spent nearly 15 years at M&S, his final role seeing him spending three-and-a-half years as head of trading, UK e-commerce.

Wright retains his global operations director responsibilities in his new post, but also adds supply chain and logistics to the list of operations he’s overseeing.

CEO Will Crumbie hailed his “passion for people, joined-up customer thinking and collaborative leadership style [that] have been an integral part in the success of both Fat Face’s growth and its operational resilience throughout the pandemic”.
