Emilio Pucci: Massimo Giorgetti new creative director

Published
Mar 20, 2015

Emilio Pucci hasn’t wasted any time. Following the announcement of the departure of its creative director Peter Dundas, who left to join Roberto Cavalli, the LVMH-owned Florentine label has named Massimo Giornetti, a young designer considered one of the rising stars of the new generation of Made in Italy, its new creative director.

Emilio Pucci’s new creative director, who has already showed in Milan in recent seasons with his own brand, MSGM, will take up his post in July, the House announced in a statement.

Massimo Giorgetti grew up in San Mauro Pascoli, near Rimini, spending time between the embroidery workshop of his parents and his uncle’s textile laboratory. In 2009, he founded MSGM, his own ready-to-wear label backed in particular by the company Paoloni, which holds a 50% stake.

Influenced by casual sportswear and fashion sweatshirts, MSGM specializes in prints and is distributed in more than 350 multibrand stores worldwide.
