Emilia Wickstead opens Belgravia flagship

High-end fashion designer Emilia Wickstead has unveiled a new London flagship retail space, located at 152-153 Sloane Street in Belgravia. Signalling a new era of expansion, the store occupies over 370 sq m across two floors that “will allow customers to experience the full range of Emilia Wickstead products and services”.

Emilia Wickstead

Known for her ability to marry nostalgia with contemporary design, the boutique’s interior reflects Wickstead’s “uniquely timeless and sophisticated aesthetic”.

Following almost a year of renovations, the store has been transformed into “an inviting, impressive space which perfectly harmonizes the traditional and modern aspects of Emilia’s vision”.

London-based architecture and interior design studio Nenmar worked with the designer to "translate her philosophy". Referencing traditional Milanese and Venetian architecture, the design “pays homage to Italian rationalism and the work of architect Piero Portaluppi, mirroring the deceptive simplicity and proportions of an Italian palazzo”.

Featuring imposing white Carrara marble and checkerboard flooring crafted in Spanish Rosa Alicante, a foundational colour palette of ivory and rust is paired with navy-blue upholstery and polished stainless-steel finishes, all reflecting the designer’s formative years in Milan.

On the ground floor, a sequence of rooms housing ready-to-wear and accessories leads to the heart of the boutique: the bridal and VIP salon. As well as offering bridal services, the salon “is a destination for international clients to discover the world of bespoke and made-to-order”.

The downstairs floor houses the brand’s homeware and lifestyle products.
