Women continue to make their mark among the highest echelons of French fashion. Once again, a female executive is taking over as president of the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine. Italian businesswoman Elsa Lanzo, current Rick Owens CEO and partner, is succeeding Celine CEO Séverine Merle in the role which she has held since 2019. Similarly, earlier this year, Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, CEO of Isabel Marant, was elected as head of the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Féminine, a role in which she succeeded Saint Laurent CEO Francesca Bellettini.

The Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine gathered for a general meeting at the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode's Paris HQ on April 14 to elect its new governing board. The board is made up of eight members, including its president and vice president, a position now occupied by Maison Margiela CEO Gianfranco Gianangeli.

Alongside these top roles, the governing board also welcomed Lanvin's deputy CEO, Arnaud Bazin; Paco Rabanne CEO Bastien Daguzan; Séverine Merle; Paul Smith CEO Isabel Ribeiro; Guillaume de Seynes, head of Hermès' manufacturing division and equity investments; and Sidney Toledano, CEO of LVMH Fashion Group.

The Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Féminine's general meeting took place on March 15, when the organization, which notably puts together the Parisian runway calendar, appointed two vice presidents alongside Duranteau-Loeper: Bruno Pavlovsky, president of fashion at Chanel, and Sidney Toledano.

The organization's current governing body also includes Christian Dior CEO Pietro Beccari; Francesca Bellettini; Choé CEO Riccardo Bellini; Barbara Bui founder and CEO William Halimi; Séverine Merle; Issey Miyake, founder of the Japanese fashion house that bears his name; Guillaume de Seynes; Léonard Paris founder Daniel Tribouillard; and Dries Van Noten's business development director, Vincent Vantomme.
